
The objective of this class (DIGM 3357 Social Media Apps & Analytics) was to create a social media based promotional campaign. I decided to promote my original song, titled “Dandelion Wishes” that I co-produced alongside my brother on Ableton.
I developed various short-form videos to post on different social media platforms. In addition, I created a 3D logo with Blender for my brand identity.
The platforms I used to promote my work were Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
The greatest challenge was having to pivot from pushing the music video to pushing promotional TikToks. I began seeing greater audience reach and growth through TikTok so I made the decision to focus my energy on that platform.
This project taught me how to work on a tight budject and schedule, without sacrificing my artistic vision.
Strong, socio-political messaging has become an ongoing theme throughout my work.
