The assignment for this class (DIGM 3374 Video Production 2) was to produce a short public service announcement with a strong call to action. I was inspired by the “Teddy Has an Operation” video on YouTube and decided to parody it.

In this video, a doctor carries out an operation on an injured teddy bear, and discovers the cause of the problem. Throughout the scenes, toys and candies are used to represent the insides of the teddy bear and it becomes apparent that “Teddy” has experienced something much more serious than a simple fall. The film calmly walks the viewer through this realization, with the call to action being “Report Abuse Today.”

I challenged myself to keep the dialogue and imagery lighthearted, while adhering to the style of the original video.
